For those of you who still want Adellion, I will explain why it was put aside. We still have the lore and the story, a completed Wiki. 

I lost the forum unfortunately and so lost the people who were inspiring me to continue.

We took a very long and tedious client job that took away a lot of our time. 2 years of working on other people’s stuff. The good news is that my youngest was able to pay for college from the proceeds of this job.

One of these days I will write about the harassment I had dealt with. It has been 2 years and I learned a valuable lesson. Something I have shared with other women/girls in game development. I worked with teens for a while and met so many wonderful people. Many of the guys who work with Unity helped me move on and to this day when I have questions, I can get help.

Now I have a larger team, two programmers, three artists, a modeler and a texture artist, and a cool guy who does our custom music and sounds. And a few others that help us along.

Why did the game fail.

Back in the day when Adellion was first being created, the gods of Adellion unfortunately moved on leaving us mere mortals to finish this amazing world.

We were not gods or magicians, and everything had to be done by scratch, including the engine. I inherited all the lore and a very complete Wiki I created for the game.

Everything is still there. We found a god called Unity, which did a great job of helping us with our work. Adellion was a very complicated different sort of game, a game for roleplayers, with no magic no fantasy elements at all.

I made major changes, a political MMO, took out a lot of bloat, making it more streamlined and actually doable for a small team.

Since then Unity has been pushing their Unity Multiplayer services and we are waiting to see if we could at least try using Caeril, the main city in the world. It will be a good lesson to learn.

In the meantime we are also making a MMO that is nothing at all like Adellion. There is magic and there is combat and there is a great deal of roleplay. I will post about that game later. Just know that this new game will give us the skills we need to move on Adellion in the future.
